This was an excellent episode, with Martin Landau in a dual role as nephews who murder their uncle for his money. I don't think I've ever seen Columbo show fear before. That is, until he met Mrs. Peck. That lady was terrifying and she wasn't even the murderer. The most interesting part of this episode was Columbo's interactions with a thoroughly unhinged Mrs. Peck. The scene where Dexter Paris ropes Columbo into appearing on his cooking show was also delightful. As @columbophile on Twitter informs me, legend has it that scene was adlibbed.
