NBC Devises Succession Plan for Carrell on The Office

With Steve Carell’s upcoming departure from “The Office”, NBC writers are hard at work devising a way to replace the popular character of Michael Scott. The upcoming season will highlight one character each episode and the second half of the season will be devoted to Michael Scott’s upcoming departure. A string of celebrity guests is also planned. There are several ideas on the table about who will succeed Scott as manager, but nothing has of yet been decided.

I'll miss Steve Carrell. He's the backbone of the show. It just won't be the same without him. I wonder how much longer it'll last after he leaves.

I read the other day that Will Farrell will do a short stint on the show to help transition Carrell off the show and introduce the new manager. Should be interesting.
