Three’s Company is based upon a British show called “Man About the House”.

There were three pilots made before the show was successfully picked up. I guess the third time’s a charm.

The woman who distracts Jack Tripper and causes him to fall off his bike is actually Suzanne Somers in a brunette wig.

Billy Crystal auditioned for the part of Jack Tripper, but lost out to John Ritter.

In the original pilot, John Ritter’s part was that of an aspiring filmmaker named David Bell.

Loni Anderson auditioned for the part of Chrissy, but didn’t get the part. John Ritter theorized it was because no one would believe she couldn’t live in her own apartment.

In March 2001, someone spotted something that got past the censors. In “The Charming Stranger”, a certain private part of John Ritter’s anatomy was briefly exposed. From then on, Nickelodeon edited the scene. Ritter requested they show both versions because… “Sometimes you feel like a nut. Sometimes you don’t.”
