04/27/1986 : "Captain Midnight" (satellite dealer James MacDougall) jammed HBO's signal with a message protesting HBO's move to scramble their signal and charge $12.95 a month for access. For the stunt, MacDougall received a $5000 fine and 1 year of probation.Births
